Dear Parents,

We would like to welcome all new and returning students to Dancexpress Dance Studio. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to teach your children. We are very excited about the months to come and hope your children enjoy dancing at Dancexpress. THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF INFORMATION THAT WILL BE IMPORTANT TO KNOW.

TUITION: For the year 2009-2010, tuition will be $46.00 a month and is due on the first week of class in each month. The tuition remains the same whether you receive 3, 4, or 5 classes in that given month. Envelopes with tuition rates inside can be turned in at the front desk or mailed in. (There will be a $20.00 charge for all returned checks).

PRO-RATING: We have no control over the weather or illness; therefore, we do not pro-rate tuition for missed classes. A make-up schedule is on the opposite side of this paper. You are free to make up classes throughout the year.

PARKING: Is available in the lot behind Dancexpress and on the street. If no spots are open, there is always a spot within one block walking distance. Please do not double park on the street or block the Dancexpress driveway.

Calendar of Events for Dancexpress Dance Studio
2009 - 2010 Dance Year

RECITAL: Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 at the Haverford School, Centennial Hall. This year there will be 5 different shows, with each student appearing in one. We will do our best to get sisters and students taking two classes in the same show. Your best bet is to take your classes on the same day to have a better likelihood of being in the same show. In December, a list will be available of which classes will be in each show. If we cannot get sisters and double class students in the same show, this is the time to switch classes. Otherwise you will have to buy tickets for two shows.

COSTUMES: Payments must be received by Monday, December 7th in order to make the delivery date that most manufacturers are quoting, and to keep the price of the costumes low for the students by ordering early. Prices of costumes will range from $45 to $70 depending on the class. A picture of each costume will be available in December along with the price.

TICKETS: The Dancexpress staff will pull tickets in a random drawing. You will receive an order form later in the dance year. Tickets are $10 each. No student is allowed in the auditorium without a ticket, with the exception of pre-school and kindergarten aged students and siblings. EACH SHOW IS APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR LONG SO PLEASE TRY TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE SHOW AND SUPPORT ALL OF THE DANCEXPRESS DANCERS.

Please inform us of any special circumstance that we should know about in order to more effectively instruct your child. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR GIVING MY STAFF AND ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO DANCE!!

Sincerely,
Cathy Acerba and the Dancexpress staff
